At 17:22 on May 7, 2026, the first batch of 158 Tibetan antelopes braved wind and snow as they began their migration from Sanjiangyuan National Park toward the hinterland of Hoh Xil, marking the full start of the 2026 migration. Over the years, Sanjiangyuan National Park has continuously strengthened protection of Tibetan antelopes and their habitat. Currently, the Tibetan antelope population in Hoh Xil has reached over 70,000, becoming a stunning sight along the Qinghai-Xizang highway.
